In 2018, acclaimed producers Neal Kingston & Michael Robertson teamed up to create Thrills & Spills a development and production company specialising in Aussie thrillers.

Neal Kingston and Michael Robertson have a shared vision of producing genre films that tell stories bigger than themselves, and within one year, they have completed principal photography on two feature films and are developing a slate of films and television series. 



Neal has extensive international experience as a Producer of television and film and has worked throughout the world developing and producing film and television drama projects.

In late 2013, Neal produced the award winning independent feature film Nerve which premiered at the Sydney International Film Festival.

His television experience includes producing over 800 episodes of the iconic Australian series Neighbours, three series of the Australian classic drama McLeod’s Daughters, and revamping two series of the iconic children’s television series Hi-5 for its new Malaysian owners.



Michael is a leading producer of Australian films including Black Water (2007), Road Train (2010), The Reef (2010) and The Pack (2015) – genre films that have garnered a cult fan-base worldwide.

A graduate of University NSW and University of Southern California film school his career includes directing tv commercials winning Cannes Lion, CLIO, Mobius and NY Festivals Awards and the Australian movies The Best of Friends, Going Sane and Back of Beyond.

Michael specialises in alternative film financing and is a member of Ateliars du Cinéma Europeén (ACE) the Amsterdam based international producer’s network.
